Interpretation Words with an initial capital letter have meanings defined under the following conditions. These definitions shall have the same meaning whether they appear in singular or plural form.
Definitions For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

Service: the CookThat AI mobile application, available on the Apple Store.

Third-Party Service: any services or content (including data, information, products, or services) provided by a third party that may be displayed or made available via the Service.
You: the individual using the Service, or the legal entity on behalf of which such individual is acting.
2. Acceptance of the Terms
These Terms constitute the agreement between You and the Company. By accessing or using the Service, You agree to be bound by these Terms. If You do not agree to any part of these Terms, then do not use the Service.
You represent that you are over the age of 18. The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. Use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please read it carefully.
3. Description of the Service
CookThat AI allows users to scan grocery or restaurant receipts (tickets) in order to automatically extract ingredient data. The app then uses this information to suggest personalized recipes based on the ingredients you already have.
All data is processed locally on your device. We do not upload, collect, or store your information on external servers.
4. Links to Third-Party Sites
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by CookThat AI. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions of any third-party site you visit.
5. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice or liability, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CookThat AI shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including (but not limited to) loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses. Our total liability shall be limited to the amount you actually paid through the Service or 100 CHF if no purchase was made.
7. "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" Service
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". We make no warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or defect-free. No express or implied warranties are made, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Your use of the Service may also be subject to other local, national, or international laws.
9. Dispute Resolution

10. European Union Users
If you reside in the EU, you are entitled to any mandatory protections provided by the laws of your country, including consumer protection rights.
11. U.S. Legal Compliance
You represent and warrant that:
You are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo, or designated by the U.S. government as a “terrorist supporting” country.
You are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
12. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
13. Translation
These Terms may have been translated. In the event of any conflict, the English version shall prevail.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you at least 30 days before the new terms take effect. By continuing to use the Service after the update, you agree to the revised Terms.
